Belgian fine art and antiques fair

For ten days, the Belgian capital becomes the center for all art lovers and collectors from around the world. As part of the fine art and antiques fair Eurantica visitors can experience a wide selection of antiques just like international art. A total of 115 Belgian and foreign galleries present their works at the Expo site in Brussels. A committee of 20 experts from various nations of the world guarantees a permanent high quality of the fair.

The origins of Eurantica go back to 1982 and the fair is known for its comprehensive and its quality spectrum of different objects and their contemporary and international character. In addition to the regular exhibitors the fair regularly presents a number of new exhibitors to assure discoveries and surprises for the visitors every year. With its range of high quality and tasteful pieces at affordable prices, the Eurantica has developed to become a highlight and one of the largest art and antiques fairs in Belgium in addition to the major international trade shows.

Art dealers, collectors and decorators, who are interested in old paintings, jewelry, textiles, classic and vintage furniture, but also in modern art, truely get their money’s worth here. In a relaxed atmosphere Eurantica allows both professional collectors and curious amateurs to discover the latest trends in the art market, which are demonstrated by a young generation of Belgian and foreign distributors.

This year, the fair has the theme "Portrait" in the center of their exhibitions. Portrait and self-portrait, which have their roots in antiquity, and whose quality has been proven over the centuries in painting and graphic art, have in the past years experienced a boom as a social phenomenon. In this success the new forms of self-representation, such as "Selfies", may have certainly not been indifferent. The Eurantica 2015, however, will also take older epochs in its gaze and on the basis of thousands of works will illuminate the different styles and techniques of portraiture.

This year the renowned Art and Antiques Fair opens its doors from Friday the 20th of March up to Sunday the 29th of March at the exhibition center of the Brussels Expo (Hall 1). The highlights this year include the Ladies' Day on 24th of March 2015, when women have free entry, and the long evening on March 26th, where the fair is open up to 22 o’clock.
