Luxurious Art Deco Hotel in the heart of Prague

The traditional Imperial Hotel has been created by Jaroslav Benedikt, a contractor and architect, in the style of Art Deco, Cubism and Art Nouveau between 1913 and 1914. The hotel, which was considered extremely luxurious at that time, featured accommodations in 180 rooms and suites, a coffee house, restaurant, salons, a soup kitchen in the basement and later also a wine bar. There have been many famous guests during the period of war, for instance Tomáš Garrigue Masaryk, the first President of Czechoslovakia, Franz Kafka or the composer Leoš Janácek.

Between 2005 and 2007, the hotel was completely renovated and once again, it became one of the most beautiful and luxurious hotels in Prague. It is considered a national cultural monument of the Czech Republic.

A total of 126 rooms of Imperial Hotel provide perfect comfort and offer guests an unique atmosphere and the elegance of the first half of the 20th century. The Deluxe rooms of the hotel feature facilities with cubist furniture, while the Executive rooms are furnished in the style of Art Deco. The suites of the luxury hotel also provide extraordinary interiors with eye-catching shades in gold and silver.

The Imperial Hotel also features an own Fitness & Wellness center, which is equipped with modern fitness and aerobics machines, a sauna and a steam bath. The unique atmosphere of the whole room is created by historic ceramic mosaics with grape motifs from 1914.

The three salons of the house, which are also decorated in the style of Art Deco and Art Nouveau, offer the opportunity to hold conferences and celebrate ceremonies.

With almost 100 years of tradition, the hotel’s own Café Imperial is currently one of the most famous and popular traditional cafés in Prague. The original ceramic mosaic decoration of the walls and ceilings in the Art Nouveau style of 1914 creates an overwhelming atmosphere, which is further enhanced by the large windows with a view to vibrant life in the streets of Prague.
