The fair for contemporary art, which is held annually in ten cities around the world, was founded with the aim of creating an alternative to the traditional gallery scene. The name of the fair is program: Art should be accessible to everyone interested in art and should be acquired at reasonable and affordable prices. With the success of the fair in America and Great Britain, where it was first launched in London in 1999, other major cities in Europe and Asia have been won over to the successful concept of the Affordable Art Fair.

Since 2007, the fair has also taken place in Amsterdam in the Netherlands, where once a year it inspires numerous people who want to experience current trends in art in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. The Affordable Art Fair Amsterdam presents itself in the Kromhouthal in Amsterdam-Noord, whose industrial design with glass roof and steel construction makes the hall a unique exhibition space and an extraordinary experience of contemporary art. Since 1999, 2.6 million people have visited the fair worldwide to admire the diversity of the exhibited original works of art. This year's theme of the Affordable Art Fair is Street Art.

In addition to the online offer, numerous international and national galleries will again be represented this year, offering contemporary art by established and emerging artists and also distinguished by their offer of works of art under 7 500 €.

The Affordable Art Fair will open on 31 October and can be seen at Kromhouthal Amsterdam until 3 November 2019.
